Our scope :

 

Civil Works:

 

Fine numbers of pump House (each should be):

 

• In the form of HDPE fabricated kiosk of the required size shall be provided with RCC basement for the installation of two pumps and control system at proper level. The pump house design should be above the ground with suitable elevation from the surface ground.

• Adequate openings to access the equipment in and out without major dismantling of the equipment is required.

• Sufficient split air conditioning system to be provided for the Switchgear.

• Providing sufficient light system.

• Gravity drain provision of the pump house in case of flooding to be provided.

 

PUMP WORKS: for each of the five locations should carry out the following:

 

• The contractor shall design, supply, install, test and commissioning of two centrifugal pumps with motors & Variable Frequency Drive and other related accessories with a capacity of 25 l/s each at 30 meters head.

• The logic of operation has to be designed as one pump in duty and one pump as stand by.

• Isolation valve at bypass of the main pipeline to be installed.

• Mechanical pressure gauges on the both sides of each pump shall be installed.

• The valves, pipes and fittings should be under the pressure rating of PN16.

• The pipes, valves, Tees and any other fittings should be in accordance with the PAEW's latest specifications and standards and should be approved by PAEW.

 

PIPING WORKS:

 

• The contractor is responsible to connect the suction & discharge sides of the booster pump by the existing distribution pipeline.

• The contractor should provide gate valves at suction & discharge sides of each pump.

• The contractor should provide a Non-Return Valve at the delivery side of each pump.

 

ELECTRICAL AND INSTRUMENTATION WORK:

 

• The contractor should supply and install electrical control panel with monitoring facilities such as volt meter, ampere meter, power meter, running hours meter etc. and light indicators at each location.

• All electrical equipment and switches to be installed above the flooding level for protection purpose.

• The contractor should supply and install Variable Frequency Driver for the pumps system at each location.The contractor should connect the pumping stations from the main electrical supply (GRID) adjacent to the pump houses which belong to Electricity Distribution Company at each location.

• Power supply system to be designed to operate only one pump.

• The Contractor has to supply all the cables, wiring system for all locations.

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• The Contractor should perform standard pump test, protection and controls for the pump to the satisfaction of the client (for all pumps).

• The contractor shall provide one set of spare parts for the pump and motor (as recommended by the manufacture catalogs) for each pump.

• The contractor should be responsible for the safety of his staff and equipment and should follow all the required safety precautions related to the nature of work.

• The Contractor is responsible for transporting his staff to work sites.

• The Contractor shall take extra precaution while excavating near private properties and will be held responsible to compensate for any damages done to government or private properties during the work.

• The pipeline and fittings should be in accordance with the latest specifications and standards of Public Authority for Electricity and Water.

• The contractor is responsible for site clearance and restoration of excavated area to original state after completion of work.

• The contractor should take extra precaution while excavating within the existing pump house/pipeline area and will be responsible for compensating any damages occurred to the properties during excavation work.

• The contractor should submit the copies of operation & maintenance manuals of all equipment such as pump, motor, electrical panels.

• The Contractor shall be responsible for adhering to the specifications of Public Authority for Electricity and Water for all works done and for following rules and regulation currently in force in the Sultanate of Oman.

• The Contractor is responsible to submit drawings and program showing the method of execution of the Works.
